About the Shizuoka Cancer Center

Construction started in 1998, based on the original plans drawn up in 1995, and March 2002 saw the completion of the Shizuoka Cancer Center, consisting of the main hospital building, the Proton Therapy Facility, the Palliative Care Ward Annex and the Energy Center. Situated on a hilltop, we aim to form a reassuring landmark for local people. Almost half of the hospital rooms are for single occupancy, with the remainder serving two people.
