Interest Support System of Shizuoka Prefecture for the Proton Therapy Loans

In Shizuoka Pref., there is an interest support system for the citizens who need to get loans from financial institutions for proton therapy at the Shizuoka Cancer Center. The cases eligible to receive the support are explained below.

Who Is Eligible for the Support?

Those who fall under all of the following three categories can apply for the support.

1. The citizens of Shizuoka Pref. who have lived there for more than one year before starting the therapy

2. Patients taking proton therapy at the SCC and their families in the same households

3. Patients whose total income of the whole households (hereinafter called “taxable total income”) does not exceed 6,700,000 yen a year

Outline of the Interest Support System

1. Subject Treatment: Proton Therapy at the Shizuoka Cancer Center

2. Loan Amount Covered by the System: 2,600,000 Yen or Less

3. Limit of Interest: 6% or Less (Including Guarantee Commission)

4. Rates of Interest Deducted:
   Household with Untaxable Total Income: 100%
   Household with Taxable Total Income of 6,700,000 Yen a Year or Less: 50%
   Duration of Support: 5 Years or Less
